Good news is it’s a fair bit warmer this week, unfortunately it’s also a lot windier, so we’re glad it’s not been as wet as predicted as the flow at the river shouldn’t be much worse than last week. Because we’re going for a repeat performance: daft early again, meeting at 5.45pm for a 6pm launch at Mill House (by the Church Road bridge, just beyond CM3 4BG) probably not doing a graduated start unless we get an obvious mismatch of boards turn up. Then we’re paddling west towards the A12 into what will still be a pretty feisty flow, aiming for 8km to the roadbridge and back, but definitely turning by 7pm. Obviously we’re hoping for sunshine, but there are certainly rainshowers about today so dress appropriately! Then after, we’ll go for a swift drink and pub grub at the Six Bells.
