So in a bit of a departure for SUP Club, despite the clocks having gone back last weekend we’re going for one last Wednesday evening … because it’s Halloween! Pumpkins, costumes and stuff encouraged but absolutely not compulsory (please avoid drowning hazards! And definitely bring lights if you can.) So we’re planning to meet from 6.30pm ahead of a 6.45 start, and it’s a new launch this week: from the municipal car-park at Baddow Road, Chelmsford CM2 7PJ – where there is a £1 charge for the evening and a 2.2m height barrier. So probably leave your raceboards at home for this one: we’re really not going far or fast tonight, just parading up a couple of km through the city centre on both the Rivers Chelmer and Can. Then after, dinner and a drink or two in town…
SUP Club is completely free if you have your own kit and know how to use it, or we hire for £20 to graduates of our BSUPA Ready to Ride courses. If you want to learn to paddleboard, check out our SUP school page.
