SUP Club 2019 – Roadrunners!

Info

With the breeze and tides keeping the coast off limits, SUP Club stays on the river tonight – this week, from Mill House to mix it up a tiny bit! Meeting from 6.40pm ahead of a 7pm launch at Mill House by the Church Road bridge (just beyond CM3 4BG – see www.supsect.com/mill-house-river-chelmer). As ever we’ll graduate the start with newest / slowest paddlers first, heading west towards the A12 into a light breeze and maybe a little flow after rain in recent days. We’ll get the fastest to bounce-back at Stonham’s Lock so we stay broadly together. The aim will be 8km to the A12 roadbridge and back, but we’ll all turn at 8pm so we’re back in good time to make dinner and drinks at the Six Bells.
Sorry, no hire kit tonight. However, new club vests, t-shirts and hoodies landed last week and will be on sale again from the back of the yellow van! If you want anything, please bring cash if possible (it all goes through the books, but we don’t have card payment facilities) – vests and tees £15 / hoodies £25…

SUP Club is completely free if you have your own kit and know how to use it, or we hire for £20 to graduates of our BSUPA Ready to Ride courses on suitable evenings. If you want to learn to paddleboard, check out our SUP school page.
