Our next Water Wombles litterpick / riverclean is confirmed for this Saturday 2nd September. When there’s a big mid-afternoon spring tide that will enable us to launch onto the tidal River Crouch in Battlesbridge. For the first time in many years, we’re going to try and do the upper reaches of the tidal River Crouch from our boards – particularly the stretch between the goat farm and Beeches Road layby that we’ve never really managed to get to before…

We’re parking and launching in a private road, so won’t be sharing the location publicly: if you need to know where, please email waterwombles@supsect.com … With a 3.30pm high tide, it’s going to need to be an afternoon pick, so meeting c.1.30pm ahead of a c.2pm briefing and launch.
