[Postponed:] Sadly, with Storm Ashley apparently on the way for Sunday, as of Friday evening none of the forecasts look doable – with a bit of rain and some alarmingly strong winds predicted. Hence we’re going to have to postpone this weekend’s provisional litterpick. We were really hoping to get back onto the tidal River Crouch for an on-board high tide pick on the top of a big (6.26m in Southend!) afternoon spring tide (c.15.20 in Battlesbridge) but alas that’s not possible… Instead, look out for a new provisional date of next Sunday 27th October, when we might go back into central Chelmsford (subject to scouting!)
